Evidentiary hearing set in reckless homicide case
Quick Read
Jackson is charged with reckless homicide in the December 2019 fatal crash on Princeton Road that killed 32-year-old Misty Quarles and 11-year-old Alexia Trump, and defense attorney Olivia Adams intends to argue that the indictment against him should be dismissed based on evidence that was presented to a Christian County Grand Jury that resulted in that indictment.
Jackson was traveling south on Princeton Road about three and a half miles north of the Eagle Way Bypass in Christian County on December 23, 2019 when he crossed the center line and collided head-on with a vehicle driven by Quarles.
An evidentiary hearing was scheduled for next Monday morning in Christian Circuit Court, to hear arguments on a motion to dismiss the indictment against Robert Jackson.
Circuit Judge Andrew Self went ahead and set a hearing for Monday morning, going ahead and swearing in a witness that they will appear at that time to testify.
Quarles and Trump, died from their injuries.
Quarles’ pickup then went over a bridge and onto a creek bed.
Two other passengers, 34-year-old Marcus Quarles and a juvenile, were seriously injured and flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
