CHANCERS are trying to punt tickets for Scotland’s opening game of Euro 2020 tomorrow on eBay for fortunes – with one priced at a staggering £650.
The national team are due to meet the Czech Republic at Hampden and despite a ban on ticket resales that hasn’t stopped touts flogging briefs for the match at heavily-inflated prices.
The original face value of the £650 ticket is listed at £50.
The seller’s description of the briefs on the auction site states: “Two tickets available.
“These tickets are E-Tickets and will be transferred via your email address through the Euro 2020 ticket app, as soon as the payment has been received.

UEFA made a slight tweak to their usual rule of tickets not being allowed to be resold or transferred to others for the Euros because of the pandemic.
Their website states that if someone is unable to attend a match for medical reasons they would be able to transfer their corresponding ticket(s).
But this only applies if the original buyer is transferring their ticket to a friend or family member, via the Euro 2020 app – not general resale.
The Scottish Government passed a ban on ticket touting for the Euros back in December 2019.
The UEFA European Championship (Scotland) Bill concluded that anyone caught reselling tickets will face a fine of up to £5,000.
