It was hardly game over for a vintage copy of Air Raid earlier this month.
Someone — very likely mistakenly — donated the rare 1982 Atari video game that is playable on the Atari 2600 game system to a Goodwill North Central Texas location in Fort Worth.
Alex Juarez, e-commerce item processor, found the game while sorting through merchandise. There are only 13 known copies in existence, according to a Goodwill representative.
“Very few copies of the game were released, making it incredibly sought after by retro video game collectors, despite its lackluster gameplay,” Liz Confiliano, director of community engagement for Goodwill, said.
