We are an established digital content writing and SEO firm looking for an experienced writer who can collaborate with us on weekly milestones. Each weekly milestone will be for around 4-8 blogs and/or web pages. Each post is typically around 1,000-1,500 words each and pays at least $35. Payment is based on the final word count, so 1,500 word posts would pay at least $55. All posts will be edited by our team and submitted to the client. In the rare event that large rewrites are needed, the post may be sent back to the writer for revisions. Example clients include law firms, pet-boarding facilities, insurance claims services, and other professional services small businesses. The ideal candidate is someone with a strong grasp of American English language prose and audience-focused writing. Blogs are written in a detailed style, but they should follow the structure of a simple how-to format seen on sites like FindLaw and Injury Claim Coach. We hold ourselves to a high standard of quality, so each candidate should submit an example demonstrating the skills needed to fulfill this type of work. Necessary writing qualities include: - An ability to follow formatting instructions - Familiarity with basic SEO/content practices, such as keyword linking and CTAs - A strong writerly voice that can explain legal concepts in basic terms - An ability to perform your own research on individual state laws - An ability to meet due date milestones and communicate progress - Proficiency with American English language writing - Writing discipline that shows strong awareness for how information should be structured and presented to a typical audience Ideally, the person we find will be able to work with us long-term over the next 6-12 months. We will try out 1-3 candidates on a trial basis for a few weeks to determine who is a good fit in terms of writing discipline and overall professionalism. Weekly earnings could be anywhere from $120/week to $500 or more, depending on the writer's capacity and their ability to meet individual piece criteria.
