DiTec Solutions is a competitive IT Managed Support provider, serving small and large-scale businesses across the country. www.ditecsolutions.co We are looking for a Junior IT support technician to join our team. This position will be responsible for resolving of both hardware and software issues. This position will engage closely with clients and help in numerous IT projects. Responsibilities: • Possess excellent communication skills, be able to handle stressful situations with a drive to assist clients, using both industry knowledge and out-of-the box thinking to resolve issues. • Support may include answering questions, troubleshooting problems, teaching or instructing customers regarding software or hardware functionality, and communicating policy. • Determines the most effective manner to resolve client's technical issue. Engages in research and in-depth troubleshooting to resolve technical issues. • Communicate to team updates and resolutions. • Verifies that suggested solutions effectively resolve the users' problems through verbal or email follow up. • Assist in setting up new user profiles, PC’s/Laptops/Phones. • Perform software, hardware and firmware upgrades as necessary. • Perform regular computer maintenance. • Assist in researching products and services as necessary. • Assists with various IT projects that include networking, AD administration, File Server administration and various other IT technologies. • Strong desire to learn new technologies and willingness to assist with IT related projects. Qualifications/Requirements • Position is remote. Must be able to work unattended and proficient in video conferencing software. ie; Teams, Zoom • Experience in computer hardware, software, and basic network troubleshooting, or equivalent training. • Customer service training and/or experience are beneficial. • This position requires handling support issues in an appropriate manner. • Individual must be able to gauge the customer's technical ability and communicate with them in appropriate technical or non-technical language in a non-condescending manner. • Ability to work independently or in a team setting is necessary. • Ability to adapt and multitask on various projects. • Ability and willingness to learn and support new and fast-changing technologies. • Must be proficient in MS Office/Tasks suite and Windows family of latest OS’s. • Familiarity with VoIP systems, networking, and communication hardware such as routers, switches, and firewalls • Experience with Clouds, thin clients, system virtualization is a plus! • Must be proficient in PC setup down to the component level. • Must be able to learn new software packages and assist staff as necessary. • Detail oriented and be able to work with basic tools. • Must have an excellent command of the English language in order to provide effective phone, desk-side, and email support. • Ability to use a keyboard for extended periods of time to enter and retrieve data. • Ability to think logically and laterally to work through problems to determine the cause and resolution • Strong desire to be part of a dynamic, goal, and achievement driven environment. Experience in the following areas is preferred • Knowledge in Web Design Platforms (Wix, Squarespace, Weebly, etc.) • Good understanding of networking Technologies (DHCP, DNS, LAN, WLAN, WAN, TCP/IP). • Knowledge of both MacOS & Windows Environments. • Ability to think logically and laterally to work through problems to determine the cause and resolution • The ability to produce great documentation and reports To Note: • 1 evening per week- Tuesday, 4pm till Midnight with the option of expanding • Position will start under a Sub-Contractor relationship Our company values: - Passionate - Honest - Team Driven - Focused - Fun Job Types: Contract, Part-time Pay: From $18.00 per hour Schedule: • 8 hour shift Shift availability: • Night Shift (Required) Work Location: Remote
