Overview: Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) is looking for an IT Helpdesk Technician to support our growing firm. As a Helpdesk Technician, you will be setting up new computers, adding them to the network, and installing the software for the end users. Once the computer is configured, you will need to either set it up in the end user’s office or pack and send it to one of our remote offices across the nation. You will also assist the helpdesk team in answering phone calls and emails from end users. Qualifications: Demonstrated customer service skills, both over the phone and in personExcellent attention to detail and strong documentation abilitiesPositive attitude and approach to technical issues and challenges, as well as client interactionsThe desire to learn new skillsProficiency with Windows 10 desktop operating systemsUnderstanding of workstation hardware, ability to swap out internal components such as system memory, hard drives, video cards, etc.Business application support, including MS Office, Teams, Adobe Acrobat Basic experience with networking concepts and equipment such as routers, switches, and wireless access pointsProven success with troubleshooting corporate PCs strongly preferredAbility to work independently or in a group settingStrong follow-up skills to ensure issues are resolved and customers are satisfiedProven ability to perform hardware and software installations, both on-site and remotelySuccess in troubleshooting computer problems, determining the source, and advising on appropriate actionAbility to lift 50 pounds3 years of experience working in a helpdesk environment About Us: Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc.
