Night Shift: Ideally Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday, but is flexible 5PM-12AM or 12AM-8AM Desired Skills and Experience * - Must be okay working a night shift - options are 5pm-12am and 12am-8am - 1+ years of experience in a Helpdesk, System Administrator or similar support/troubleshoot role - Experience with AWS, preferably with all of the following linux, ec2, asg, cloudformation, s3, kms, route53, elasticsearch. - Experience with Kubernetes, ideally kubectl to troubleshoot - Experience with alert and monitoring software (for example, Datadog or ospgenie or similar) Day-to-Day * Insight Global is looking for four Remote Helpdesk Support Specialist to support a technology department that sits within a large telecommunications client. This position requires candidates to work an overnight shift from either 5pm-12am or 12am-8am and will provide front line support including troubleshooting and debugging for their location technology platform using AWS and Kubernetes. Duties are as follows: - Search controller latency - ex) review dashboard to determine which of the supporting apps is experiencing performance issues and then take corrective action - Log analysis in support performance and availability issues. - Monitoring Data Dog (app monitoring software) and responding to alerts with the support of runbooks (standardized written procedures for completing repetitive IT processes) as well as Ospgenie for alerts when thresholds have been breached - Support of systems may require fixing super old processes that have failed to recover so this is not just a “keep the lights on” role. Examples include recovering a failed database, etc.
