No Position Summary Information Job Description Summary [Provide general computer support.] Responsibilities • The Desktop Support assistant will provide support to Chapman University end-users. • Assist Desktop Support team with computer setup, hardware deliveries, and software installation. • Assist end-users at the Orange campus. • Enter end-user incidents and requests into the Service Desk system. • Clean equipment in labs and classrooms to ensure all equipment, tables, chairs, and cabling are aligned and orderly. • Maintain the printers in the labs and make sure they are functional and adequately supplied with paper and toner. • Maintain computers (Mac and PC) in the labs, classrooms, and public access areas and make sure they are operational. • Assist with equipment moves and computer deployments for the labs and classrooms and transport equipment across campus. Required Qualifications Little to minimal prior experience. Ability to learn support process. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite. Desired Qualifications Candidates should have some knowledge or experience in these areas: • Windows 10. • Mac OS. • Basic networking principles. • Software installation process • Microsoft Office suite • Working with your hands • Customer Service • Able to lift up to 50 pounds. • Able to use basic tools such as screwdrivers Special Instructions to Applicants Successful completion of a criminal background check will be required for the final candidate(s).
