Amazon Prime Video has a light lineup in August, with a handful of original movies and the return of a star-studded anthology series.

That would be Season 2 of “Modern Love”(Aug. 13), based upon the popular New York Times essays. The eight-episodes series (five set in New York, three set in Ireland, and each a self-contained love story) touts an all-star cast including Kit Harington, Minnie Driver, Dominique Fishback and Tobias Menzies, Anna Paquin and Sophie Okonedo.

There’s also a good collection of older movies on the way, including “Jaws,” “Fast Times at Ridgemont High,” and “Aliens” (all Aug. 1) and “In Bruges” (Aug. 16).
