Did you know eBay offers to intercede on buyers’ behalf by contacting sellers to ensure the buyer gets their purchases on time?
And did you know eBay will help sellers manage negative feedback, offer support to help sellers stay “above standard,” and that eBay will give sellers 48 hours to respond to any changes so their listings aren’t ever removed?
Sound too good to be true? Those are some of the benefits eBay promises buyers and sellers who are enrolled in its “concierge” customer service program.
Sounds great, you might be thinking – sign me up.
Not so fast.
During Wednesday’s weekly chat session, eBay seller “kosmetik.karnival” asked, “Can you please tell me how one would qualify for the Concierge Program and how one would obtain an invitation to join?”
An eBay moderator responded, thanking kosmetik.karnival for their interest in the program, and explaining:
“Only customers who have been notified that they are included in eBay Concierge are eligible for this program at this time. If your account becomes eligible for the program in the future, we would reach out directly to invite you.”
Many readers are likely familiar with concierge customer support. When we wrote about it in 2017, it was a pilot program that eBay was expanding and was scheduled to become standard level service by February 2019
