The frontman of The Feeling, Dan Gillespie Sells, has written the tunes for huge West End hit Everybody’s Talking About Jamie – recently turned into a stunning film starring Richard E.
Tell us about your first property
It was a small but very cute 1980s-built terrace house in east London with two bedrooms, one bathroom, a tiny kitchen, a narrow garden and a driveway.
It was a new-build so the place was fervently fine but I decided to add a loft conversion so that there was a decent master bedroom and I could have a lodger in the second bedroom to help out.
We never knew how long the success of the band would last, so I wanted him there for a sense of security as much as anything else.
I furnished the whole place (via eBay) while I was away on tour.
