The comparison to eBay's Top Rated Seller program has been apparent from the start, as we noted in the July 2021 AuctionBytes blog post reporting on the launch of the program.
Regarding discounted transaction fees for Star Sellers, another seller said, "I will believe that one when I see it.
Etsy may be planning to give extra perks to sellers who qualify for its Star Seller program that it launched last year, including fee discounts.
An Etsy seller said that on a private group on Facebook, a seller had posted a survey that asked recipients to rate ideas for the Etsy Star Seller Program going forward.
A seller discussing the topic on the Etsy boards said they had always suspected there would be something that came along with the Star Seller program, particularly boosted search placement.
