Last month's promotion offered up to $500 off Promoted Listings Standard ad fees and ran from August 10 through September 8, although eBay often sends promotional offers to subsets of sellers with slight variations, including the amount of the credit or the dates of the promotion.
Sellers appeared confused about how last month's promotion worked, finally receiving details in this response from a moderator on the eBay boards.
After the seller activated the promotion, it said she was disqualified from participating, displaying the following message: "Unfortunately, this promotional offer is not available to you.
