eBay Combined-Invoice Glitch Cost Seller $300 in Lost Sales - EcommerceBytes

Quick Read

Since last week, I have had several Buyers email me and say when they place items in their cart and request a total, the get an error message number of "80206".
Airbrake PS: Follow up to my previous letter: I finally got a hold of someone at eBay customer service and they informed me that the error message, when requesting a total for combined shipping, has been occurring for Buyers for at least two weeks and there are numerous trouble tickets on this - so, here's another code problem, not a glitch.
When I explain this to them, they state that eBay is all messed up (or something to that effect) and I never hear from them again.
CS acknowledged that IT has been working on it for 2 weeks before she clammed up and would not address the issue any further.
Dear Ina, It now appears that eBay is no longer allowing Buyers to ask for a combined invoice.

eBay Combined-Invoice Glitch Cost Seller $300 in Lost Sales - EcommerceBytes

Dear Ina, It now appears that eBay is no longer allowing Buyers to ask for a combined invoice. Since last week, I have had several Buyers email me and say when they place items in their cart and request a total, the get an error message number of "80206". They then ask me to send them an invoice which, as almost no Buyers understand, Sellers cannot see what is in a Buyers cart. When I explain this to them, they state that eBay is all messed up (or something to that effect) and I never hear from them again. So far, I have lost, in the last week, $300.00 + in sales. Tried to request a call back from eBay CS to discuss the problem but that is no longer available to us "small fry" Sellers. The only way we can contact CS is through email. I have sent 3 emails since last week and have had no response. Looks to me like eBay is on the ropes and the count is at 9. CS acknowledged that IT has been working on it for 2 weeks before she clammed up and would not address the issue any further. Does anyone have any idea how much business this has cost Sellers? I'll wager a guess it's in the tens of thousands of $$$$. The Buyers just go someplace else - who are they going to complain to? eBay CS?
