After eBay made unannounced changes to feedback over a week ago that caused some SNAFUs described in this August 7th EcommerceBytes blog post , a feature designed to save sellers' time when leaving feedback for buyers disappeared.
As we checked the forums for any update before publishing this post on Tuesday evening, we noticed the same seller who reported the feedback changes last week (mr_lincoln) had just encountered another issue: this time, missing listing templates
If you spot changes that make selling easier or more difficult, let us know.
As we had reported in our previous post on August 7th, eBay had changed the flow and entered a canned suggestion in the feedback comment text box - that was panned by sellers, and eBay stopped showing it - but sellers continue to report they can no longer access their saved comments.
When the seller attempts to leave feedback for buyers, their prefilled comments are no longer available, meaning they must type in feedback from scratch.
We couldn't find anything about the prefilled comments (auto-save) function in eBay's help file (it's not the same as eBay's automatic feedback settings).
