Dear Ina,

More proof that all Seller Protection is gone at eBay. A Buyer purchased 21 items from me at auction closing in June. When the auctions closed, I sent the Buyer an Invoice the night the items ended. Buyer responded he did not like the shipping cost on a 14 pound large box 4 days after the invoice was sent. I was able to find cheaper shipping and reduce the shipping to $60 from $80. I sent a second invoice reflecting the change the next day.

I hear nothing from the Buyer so after 4 days, I try to cancel the transaction using eBay’s new procedure. In the drop down menu for reason for cancellation, Bidder Did Not Pay is no longer there. 

I requested a call from eBay, they call. I explain the situation and eBay CS tells me there is a known bug in the new NPB process, the Bidder Did Not Pay reason is gone, and they are working on it. I am instructed to pick the “Invalid Address” option as the reason to cancel. 

I ask if this may be a problem down the road. eBay CS instructs me to request a call back if any further problems occur. 

I cancel the transaction. Today after cancelling, the Buyer emails me and states he was just going to pay and I cancelled, what’s up? 

I explain the whole eBay support call to him. I told him I could re-invoice and then we could start anew (eBay’s CS stated this to me). He now leaves 21 negative feedback for me for cancelling. 

I request a call from eBay, they call and say all they can do is appeal the feedback  and I have to wait 24 – 48 hours for an answer. 

Meanwhile, while I was on the phone with CS getting the requests, 16 potential Buyers email me and state they were
