Savvy shoppers are cashing in on Aldi’s popular new soldiers – and selling them for as much £40 online.
The sliders, which cost £3.99 at the discount retailer, were launched as a part of Aldimania, the store’s own brand clothing line.
The footwear, which is navy and features the Aldi logo across the front, went on pre-order earlier this week and won’t even arrive in stores until this Sunday, July 4.
The sliders are now being sold for almost 10 times their original price on sites such as eBay.
The popularity of the colourful shoes is evident already, with shoppers so desperate to snap up a pair that they’ve not sold out online.
From June 27, shoppers could have gotten their hands on the shoes for £3.99 via the Aldi website, but due to high demand, there are no more available.
Instead, some shoppers have taken advantage of the shortage and have listed their pre-ordered pairs on eBay.
While some have listed the shoes for around £10 or £14, which is already several times the original cost, others have taken things a step further.
There are currently listings for the sliders for more than £20, including this one for £29.99.
However, the highest costing Aldi sliders we could find on the site came in at £40 – almost 10 times the original £3.99 price tag.
The bargain retailer’s Aldimania sliders will be available in store for £3.99 from Sunday, July 4.
