The massive 7.4-liter big-block under the El Camino’s hood was good for 275 horsepower back then, a big drop from the 425-horsepower rating of 1971. By comparison, the 6.5-liter V8 that powered this El Camino from the factory generated 350 horses in 1967. But there’s a catch.
